A Quilt Project Celebrating Kansas' 150th Birthday
Join quilters across Kansas to celebrate the 150th birthday of Kansas with a special quilt designed by Jerry Stube - South Wind Celebration.
The quilt directions will appear block by block in The Country Register - the first block is in the Dec/Jan 2011 issue.
Honoring Kansas' statehood help Jerry pick the name of this quilt full of sunflowers; Kansas' name derives from the Kansa Indians. Kansa means "People of the
South Wind.
You can purchase the kit from us now - or you can use your favorite floral fabrics and work on this project with your scraps. All instructions will be in The Country Register! Either way we hope you'll join us in celebrating Kansas' statehood of 150 years during 2011!
