Block One Corrections In this block your corners need to have the stripes all in the same direction. Make two half square triangles with the stripes horizontal and two with the stripes vertical. When layering the blue and striped fabric, have one horizontal and one vertical, that way when you cut them apart, they are in the right direction. |

Block Two Corrections Watch your stripes to keep them in the order as shown on the cover. |

Block Three Corrections There is a cutting error on this one! Background fabric small red stripe (33271-1): Cut eight (*) 2 ½” squares. The Red “Eyeball” fabric ( 33264-1). You need to cut four (4) 3” squares and sub-cut on the diagonal once to make 8 triangles. Also, match your stripes to the cover photo. |
|
Block Seven Corrections On the second page of the sewing directions the image covers some of the wording. It should say square to 4 ½”. |

Block Eleven Corrections Page 1, Second step diagram is incorrect. Blue plaid should be on top and tan on bottom.
Page 2, Sew one blue print triangle to the long side of this to make a square. Square to 3 1/2 “.
(diagram in pattern is incorrect)

We received a comment from a history buff about the General's Wives Block of the Month. She pointed out we have two misspellings on the pattern that describes Mary Curtis Lee.
She said her name is not Mary Curtis Lee but should be Mary Custis Lee. Also, she is the granddaughter of Martha Washington not Mary Washington as stated on the pattern. Posted: March 28, 2012 Other Exclusive Patterns from the Quilter's Quarters that feature The Generals Wives line of fabric.
