A Chat With Jerry
Welcome new military family members to our community, we
hope your stay in Leavenworth will be a pleasant one.
"Some" of us liked it so much, we decided to
retire and make it home. Leavenworth is the "First City
of Kansas" and the "First City of Quilting".
Quilter's Quarters came to
Leavenworth in November of 1996. We opened on S. 5th
St. in only 600 square feet with 300 bolts of fabric.
Through the years we have grown to love Leavenworth and the
people here and have been involved in many community
activities including Main Street Association, Chamber of
Commerce activities, Riverfest Festival, and St. Vincent
Clinic for Breast Cancer Awareness. Each year we
participate in the local Treasure Hunt activity bringing
many of the women owned small businesses together for a fun
and informative weekend.
In 2006 Quilter's Quarter's
was honored to be selected by American Patchwork and
Quilting as one of the top ten quilt shops in North America.
This selection was made after the editors and staff of the
magazine reviewed over 500 applicants for the award.
Copies of the magazine are available in the store when you
visit and we would love to share our success story with you!

a slightly different style. We have broken the classes down into three skill levels making it easier for you to decide the kind of classes to take for your best learning experience.
