Roses of Rememberance Block of the Month program

This striking applique quilt features fabrics from Island Batiks and the 12 finalists' blocks from the 2009 Rose of Sharon Block Challenge sponsored by Sharon Pederson, Island Batik, and other companies. The challenge, to make a Rose of Sharon Block, was met, with over 850 blocks submitted by consumers. 12 finalists were chosen, and made into this awe-inspiring quilt.

During this 13-month program, you will receive the fabric for each of the blocks, sashing, borders and binding to complete the quilt top. Patterns are not inluded. You will need either The Rose of Sharon Block Book from Martingale, or Sharon Pederson's DVD, where she will teach you the quilt-as-you-go method for finishing the blocks so your quilt back will be just as stunning as the top. Both of these are available separately.
