So many of you enjoyed the
Kansas City Star block of the month last year, we know you are
going to just love the new one.
The Circuit
Rider Quilt

The Circuit Rider Quilt is based on an antique quilt donated by
Mrs. Emma Hodge in 1919 to the Art Institute of Chicago.
The original quilt was made in 1862 for the Reverend G. C.
Warvel, a circuit rider in Miami, Ohio by 40 women of the United
Brethren Church. Each block was lovingly signed by the
makers.
This adaptation will have 12 blocks with a beautiful appliqued
border. The quilt will be offered in two colorways.
Traditional red and green and one in blue and purple. You
may choose to do both colors. After an initial sign up fee
of only $25, you will receive the fabric for the top, binding
and finishing kit for only $19.95 per month for 13 months.
You need only tell us the color of your choice.

The Circuit Rider's author has assured me that she has taught
this appliqued quilt to both advanced and beginner quilters so
you need not fear it is beyond your level of expertise. It
can be done either by hand applique or by fusible applique.
Join now and be ready to receive your first block in February
2008. If you join after February please allow us to catch your
back blocks up so that they are all shipped on the same month
