Leavenworth, Kansas has long been known through old John Wayne movies because of the military prison and our historic Fort Leavenworth where The Command and General Staff College has taught all the famous generals of the Army.
Leavenworth is also home to four other prisons, giving it the nickname "Prison City USA". We are also the First City of Kansas and have the oldest home in continuous use in the state. Since the "First City", obviously, had the first quilter, we also call it "The First City of Quilting".
Leavenworth is the home of numerous antique shops, museums, a veterans hospital, and St. Mary's College and is located slightly Northwest of Kansas City.
Won't you join us, browse our store, check our
SPECIALS and "DO TIME quilting in Leavenworth".
We
hope you enjoy your visit.
